The second oldest and only girl in a family of four children, Rebekah Brandes was born in Detroit, Michigan to a doctor and artist/Hebrew school teacher from Long Island, NY. Her family moved to Groton, Conecticut while her father served in the Navy, then to Arizona - living first in Tucson and then Flagstaff. The family moved to Baltimore, Maryland when Rebekah was 13. She left for Los Angeles at 18. Brandes began acting in elementary school class plays. She joined the Magic Curtain Productions theater company in Flagstaff, AZ and preformed with "That's Dancing" Productions as well. In Baltimore, Rebekah studied and preformed at the Fells Point Corner Theater as well as the Baltimore Actors Theater. In 2003, Brandes was invited to enroll at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Los Angeles. She returned for the invitation only second year, but opted not to join the third year company. She continued her training with another two year program, at the Joanne Baron/D.W. Brown Acting Studio in Santa Monica. In the past 5 years Brandes has appeared in a handful of popular horror films including the award winning Midnight Movie, for which she received a Best Actress nomination from the Chicago Horror Film Festival. She has had various guest roles on television, appearing on NCIS, Greek, Criminal Minds and most recently The Forgotten. She has a lead role in a live action dramatic pilot written and directed by Arlene Klasky of "Rugrats" fame and Klasky-Czupo Productions.
