Meredith Hagner (born May 31, 1987) is an American actress. She is perhaps best known for originating the role of Liberty Ciccone in the CBS daytime drama As the World Turns from 2008-2010.
Born in New York and raised in Houston, Texas and Chapel Hill, North Carolina, she attended Chapel Hill High School, graduating in 2005. She attended the Boston Conservatory for a year, but moved to New York City after being offered acting opportunities. While in New York, she was cast in television and radio advertisements for 3M, Acuvue, JCPenney, Levi's, Radio Shack, Subway, and Truth.
"As the World Turns" marked her scripted television debut, in which she portrayed Liberty Ciccone, the illegitimate daughter of Brad Snyder, the small town's local celebrity. She ended her two year run as the character in March of 2010. The actress is reportedly set to explore options outside of daytime television.
She reportedly quit the soap opera to devote her time and talents to the upcoming FX show Lights Out.
She also appears in a recurring guest starring role in the medical drama Royal Pains on USA Network as Libby, a teenager with an extreme case of cyberchondria.
In 2009, Hagner was nominated for Outstanding Younger Actress in the 36th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards for her role as Liberty Ciccone on As the World Turns
Hagner studied classical voice in high school and is an avid song-writer, occasionally performing live with her guitar and voice. Hagner is also involved with the Special Olympics organization, supporting her older sister who has Down Syndrome.
Hagner currently resides in New York City.
