Jade Sheena Jezebel Jagger (born 21 October 1971 in Paris, France) is an English jewelry designer, socialite and former model. She is the daughter of Mick Jagger and Bianca Jagger.
Early Life
Jade was born in Belvedere Nursing Home in Paris, France. She spent her early years living with her parents on London’s fashionable Cheyne Walk. After her parents’ divorce in 1979, Jagger spent most of her time living in Manhattan with her jet-set mother and was often dropped off at the Factory to be babysat by Bianca’s friend, pop artist Andy Warhol. Jagger attended the Spence School in Manhattan for a few years before being shipped off at age 14 to the all-girls boarding school St Mary’s, Calne, England.
Career
In 1996, Jade set up Jade Inc. with Tamsin De Roemer designing jewellery, and in 2001 she began working as the Creative Director for Garrard, the English company dealing in high-end jewelry. She worked there until 2006 and now promotes a lifestyle concept called “Jezebel” - her middle name, which fuses music, clothing, and lifestyle through original recordings, remixes, unplugged sessions, and fashion. She also owns a building with luxury condo units in Manhattan and has worked as a lingerie model.
In 2001, she appeared as herself in the film, Being Mick.
In 2008, Jade's career has revived, courtesy of Belvedere. Best known in accessory circles for her gig as creative director at Garrard, has created the "Jagger Dagger," a sword boasting an 18-carat white gold hilt studded with 12 carats of brilliant-cut diamonds, 42 pale sapphires, and inlaid with a central blue lapis lazuli square.
In 2009, Jade was featured in an in-depth video clip for Observer Women's Magazine, sharing one of her creations, something she refers to as her "artwork", a "ribbon bracelet" which features some "easily available household things" such as; a "skull and wings", a tiny "palm tree, sort of reminds me of my home in Ibiza", a bunch of safety pins, "funky little bits and bobs", eg. a little key trinket, of which Jade reveals, "I kinda like the way a key symbols things", and confesses that she loves encorporating "all sorts of symbols and thoughts into my jewellery and little things they mean to you".
In 2009 Jade appeared as herself in one episode of Paris Hilton's British Best Friend.
Personal Life
While preparing for her A-Levels at Cambridge Centre for Sixth-form Studies, she began a relationship with fellow student Piers Jackson. She and Piers did not marry, but had two daughters together, Assisi Lola Jackson (born 2 July 1992) and Amba Isis Jackson (born 26 May 1996). Their relationship lasted about eight years. Since then, Jade has been romantically linked to entrepreneur Ben Elliot, Canadian artist Euan McDonald, Dan Macmillan, and rapper Pharrell. In 2004 she began dating DJ Dan Williams, they married in February 2009. They live in London and on the Mediterranean island of Ibiza. Jade is the half-sister of Karis Jagger (born 1970), Elizabeth Jagger (born 1984), James Jagger (born 1985), Georgia Jagger (born 1992), Gabriel Jagger (born 1997), and Lucas Jagger (born 1999).
She is of English and Nicaraguan ancestry.
