Lars von Trier is back with the crotch-tingling continuation of his erotic masterpiece, Nymphomaniac Vol. 2 (2013). Originally released as one volume, von Trier decided to release the film in two volumes. When a handsome bachelor, Seligman (Stellan Skarsgård), discovers Joe (Charlotte Gainsbourg), a self-diagnosed nympho, beaten and discarded in an alley, the charming dude brings her back to his apartment to tend to her wounds. While Seligman nurses Joe back to health, the defeated dame returns the favor by sharing vignettes of her life, from birth to the age of fifty. Told in a series of chapters, Joe’s life story is far from boring; she spares no titillating details, especially when detailing her sexual history. We’re all ears…and boners! Unlike the playfulness of the sexuality in Vol. 1, the second installment delves deeper into the darker, S&M-filled interludes of Joe’s sexual history. Since it is a Lars von Trier film, get ready to enjoy some flesh-filled offerings from Charlotte Gainsbourg, Mia Goth, and Stacy Martin. While the three femmes of the film show a lot of skin, sexy body double Elvira Friis lends a helping vagina during the scenes of sex-plicit action! And with some high-tech, CGI assistance, the actresses and doubles are seamlessly melded together. Nifty!
