Andi Dorfman, born April 3, 1987, was an Assistant District Attorney in Fulton County, Georgia. She was also a contestant on the eighteenth season of The Bachelor. She's become famous for walking out on bachelor Juan Pablo Galavis in the ninth episode of the show. Due to the support from her fans, Dorfman will be starring in the tenth season of The Bachelorette, which premieres on May 19, 2014, where she'll get a chance to find her true match.


Personal life

Andi is the younger of two sisters. Andi is an alumnae of Phi Mu Fraternity, a Panhellenic sorority, at Louisiana State University. She graduated in 2009 from LSU. After that, she earned her J.D. from Wake Forest University School of Law in 2012. She had been an Assistant District Attorney for Fulton County, Georgia, since passing the bar in 2012 and aimed to "keep her community safe by putting criminals behind bars."

Her favorite sports are tennis and golf. Her favorite television show is Scandal.

The Bachelor

During Juan Pablo's season of The Bachelor, Dorfman made it to the eighth episode before pulling herself from the competition. During the course of the show, she went on four consecutive group dates. On the third of those group dates, she received a rose. Finally during the sixth episode, she had her first one-on-one date with Juan Pablo. On this date, she also received a rose. During the next episode, she went on another group date and again received the rose. During the eighth episode, she takes Juan Pablo to her hometown in Atlanta to meet her father and this does not go well. Her father says that he will not give his blessing to man who is dating two other women and might propose to his daughter. Following Hometowns are the overnight dates.

After spending the night with Juan Pablo in the Fantasy Suite. They wake up, Juan Pablo feeling very good about the night. Andi, however, felt that the night was a disaster. He mentions his overnight with Clare, which upsets her greatly. She decides that he is not the one for her, so she leaves the show voluntarily. Before doing this, she confronts Juan Pablo about his actions. He tries to comfort her, but only makes her more angry. She leaves, knowing that she made the right decision.

Partway through the season, Dorfman earned the nickname of the "dark horse". Many tabloids pointed out that the front-runner came out of nowhere, but quickly became a fan favorite.The support of her fans led to the decision for Dorfman to become the next Bachelorette.

Dorfman is starring in the tenth season of The Bachelorette, which premiered on May 19, 2014. She quit her job as District Attorney to be on the show.
