Tina Kandelaki was born on November 10, 1975, in Georgia. Being the first year student at the Tbilissi Medical School, she won the casting held for one of Georgia’s main TV channels. She didn’t speak Georgian, but yet her wit and charisma helped her quickly succeed in her TV career. Soon, Kandelaki started working for the Georgian TV (even though the text in Georgian had to be written in Russian letters for her) and radio.
Since the potential for the professional growth in the Georgian show business was rather limited, Kandelaki decided to leave for Moscow. In Moscow, she joined “M-radio,” one of the most popular radio stations at the time. She then worked for other top Moscow radio stations, including RDV and “Silver rain” as well as for the number of TV channels - “2x2” in the program “BIZ- TV”, MUZ- TV. Her career flourished. As a presenter, she has worked for the number of high-rating programs. These included “Vremechko”, on the TV channel “TV –6,” “Hallo, people!”, “Oh, Mamma Mia!“and “I know everything”. Since September 2002, Tina Kandelaki has been a presenter for the super-popular show “Detalis” on the CTC channel and in March 2003, she joined the TV show “The most intelligent”. In 2004, the show received the National Television Award (TEFI) in the nomination “the best show for children.”
Tina Kandelaki is married with two children.
