Frida Gustavsson was born on June 6, 1993. She was discovered while shopping in her hometown of Stockholm, Sweden.
Gustavsson began modeling locally in 2008 and made her way to Japan. Her career took a positive turn when she was signed by IMG in 2009. Soon after, she opened the Fall Valentino haute couture show in Paris.
Since then, she has walked shows for Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Lanvin, Carolina Herrera, Fendi, Christian Dior, Vivienne Westwood, Alexander McQueen, Anna Sui, Marc Jacobs, Michael Kors, Calvin Klein, Oscar de la Renta, Emilio Pucci, Celine, Hermès, Jean Paul Gaultier, Dolce & Gabbana, Givenchy, Yves Saint Laurent, Ralph Lauren, Just Cavalli and Versace.
She was the fourth most requested model of the Spring 2010 season, behind Kasia Struss, Liu Wen, and Constance Jablonski.
Gustavsson has been in magazines like Elle, W, Numéro, American, Italian, German, and Japanese Vogue, L'Officiel and Crash. In March 2010, she appeared on the cover of German Vogue.
She has appeared in advertising campaigns for Marc Jacobs, Jill Stuart, Anna Sui, Paul & Joe, Mystic and Vagabond.
