Mia Malkova hat deutsche, irische und frankokanadische Wurzeln. Sie wurde durch die Pornodarstellerin Natasha Malkova, eine Schulfreundin, auf die Pornoindustrie aufmerksam. Sie wird durch die Agentur Matrix Models vertreten. Sie war im Dezember 2012 „Twistys Treat of the Month“ und 2013 „Twistys Treat of the Year“. Sie wählte den Künstlernamen Mia Malkova um russischer zu klingen, da dies für sie anziehender wirkt und für sie ein europäisches Supermodel suggeriert. Sie wirkt allerdings auch unter verschiedenen weiteren Künstlernamen. Im Juni 2014 kündigte der Sexspielzeughersteller Doc Johnson an, eine künstliche Vagina auf den Markt zu bringen, welche nach einem Abdruck von Malkova hergestellt werden soll. Malkova hat drei Brüder von denen einer, unter dem Künstlernamen Justin Hunt, ebenfalls in der Pornoindustrie arbeitet. Am 20. Juli 2014 heiratete sie den Pornodarsteller Danny Mountain, der zuvor mit der Pornodarstellerin Eva Angelina verheiratet war.
