Halsey
Halsey (* 29. September 1994 in New Jersey; eigentlicher Name Ashley Frangipane) ist eine US-amerikanische Elektropopsängerin.
Biografie Ashley Frangipane stammt ursprünglich aus New Jersey, lebt aber in New York. Ihr Künstlername ist ein Anagramm ihres Vornamens und außerdem der Name einer Haltestelle der U-Bahnlinie L an der Grenze zwischen Queens und Brooklyn. Mit ihrem Song Ghost erregte sie erstmals größere Aufmerksamkeit und unterschrieb Anfang 2014 einen Plattenvertrag beim Label Astralwerks. Vor ihrer ersten Veröffentlichung trat sie im Oktober im Vorprogramm der US-Tour der Kooks auf[2]. Ihre Debüt-EP mit dem Titel Room 93 erschien im Herbst desselben Jahres und konnte sich in den US-Albumcharts platzieren und belegte in Heatseekers-Charts Platz 3.
