Annika Beck
Annika Beck (* 16. Februar 1994 in Gießen) ist eine deutsche Tennisspielerin.
Karriere Beck begann im Alter von fünf Jahren mit dem Tennisspielen. Ihr bevorzugter Belag ist der Hartplatz. Am 31. Januar 2010 gewann Beck in Kaarst ihr erstes ITF-Turnier. Sie besiegte im Finale Audrey Bergot aus Frankreich mit 6:2, 7:5. Am 10. April 2012 debütierte sie beim Turnier in Kopenhagen gegen die Kroatin Petra Martić auf der WTA Tour. Sie verlor das Match mit 4:6, 4:6. Anfang Juni 2012 erreichte sie dann als erste Deutsche nach Anna-Lena Grönefeld, der Siegerin von 2003, das Finale des Junioren-Wettbewerb von Roland Garros. Dort besiegte sie die Slowakin Anna Karolína Schmiedlová mit 3:6, 7:5, 6:3. Im Juni 2012 schaffte Beck in Wimbledon erstmals den Einzug ins Hauptfeld eines Grand-Slam-Turniers. Sie traf in der ersten Runde auf die Weißrussin Wolha Hawarzowa, der sie mit 3:6, 6:3, 3:6 unterlag.[4] Mit ihren sechs Titeln bei ITF-Turnieren im Jahr 2012, vier davon von August bis November, erreichte Beck im Einzel Platz 78 der WTA-Weltrangliste. Zudem gewann sie am Ende des Jahres den deutschen Meistertitel. Im Finale setzte sie sich gegen Antonia Lottner mit 6:1, 6:0 durch. 2013 gab Annika Beck gegen Frankreich ihr Debüt in der deutschen Fed-Cup-Mannschaft. Sie trat im Doppel mit Anna-Lena Grönefeld an. Die beiden verloren gegen die französische Paarung Alize Cornet und Kristina Mladenovic mit 3:6, 4:6. Im selben Jahr erreichte sie im polnischen Kattowitz zum ersten Mal in ihrer Karriere das Halbfinale eines WTA-Turniers. Dort unterlag sie der Italienerin Roberta Vinci mit 1:6, 0:6. |
