Valérie Kaprisky
 

Valérie Kaprisky (eigentlich Valérie Chérès; * 19. August 1962 in Neuilly-sur-Seine nahe Paris) ist eine französische Schauspielerin.

Die polnischstämmige Valérie Kaprisky (Kaprisky (poln.: Kasprzycka) ist der Geburtsname ihrer Mutter) wuchs in Cannes auf und wurde dort bei den Filmfestspielen entdeckt. Sie betätigte sich als Fotomodell und erhielt erste Filmrollen.

Anfänglich trat Kaprisky vor allem in seichten Erotikfilmen auf, bevor sie 1983 in die USA ging, um dort ihr Debüt als Hauptdarstellerin in dem Film Atemlos (Breathless), einer Neuverfilmung des französischen Films À bout de souffle an der Seite Richard Geres zu geben. Da der Film seinerzeit schlechte Kritiken erhielt, kehrte Valérie Kaprisky bereits 1984 wieder zurück nach Frankreich, wo sie als Schauspielerin für Film und Fernsehen arbeitet.

Größere Bekanntheit erlangte sie 1984 durch ihre Rolle im Film Die öffentliche Frau von Andrzej Żuławski. Für diese Rolle wurde sie im Jahr 1985 für den César nominiert. Kaprisky konnte später nicht mehr an ihre frühen Erfolge anknüpfen.
