Olivia Wilde (* 10. März 1984 in New York, N.Y., USA als Olivia Jane Cockburn) ist eine US-amerikanische Schauspielerin.

Sie besuchte die Phillips Academy in Andover, Massachusetts. Sie studierte Schauspielerei an der 'Gaiety School'. Sie ist die Tochter von Andrew Cockburn und heißt mit bürgerlichem Namen Olivia Cockburn. Viele ihrer Verwandten sind Journalisten. Sowohl ihr Großvater Francis Claud Cockburn war ein Journalist, als auch seine drei Kinder Alexander Cockburn Alexander, Andrew und Patrick Cockburn.

Olivia ist seit 2003 mit dem Filmemacher und Fotografen Tao Ruspoli verheiratet.

Ihren ersten Erfolg hatte sie in der kleinen Rolle Kellie in der amerikanischen Teenie-Komödie The Girl Next Door. Danach bekam sie als Jewel eine Hauptrolle in der kurzlebigen US-Serie Skin, die 2003 lief. Kurz darauf bekam sie dann die Rolle als Alex Kelly in O.C., California, die ihren Durchbruch bedeutete.

Neben ihrer Schauspielkarriere ist Olivia ein Mitglied in der Los Angeles Filmmaker's Cooperative. Sie ist dort unter anderem die leitende Herausgeberin der LAFCO NEWS. Sie war Projektmanagerin der LAFCO-Produktion für das Projekt Lysistrata, das erste weltweite Theaterevent für den Frieden, das in hunderten von Städten der Welt stattgefunden hat. Gerade ist sie mitten in der Planung für ein LAFCO Future Filmmakers Festival, das für Leute zwischen 6 und 18 gemacht werden soll.
