Colbie Caillat
Colbie Caillat (* 28. Mai 1985 in Newbury Park, Kalifornien) ist eine US-amerikanische Singer-Songwriterin aus Malibu in Kalifornien.
Bekannt wurde sie durch ihre MySpace-Seite. Ihr Song Bubbly wurde auf ihrer Seite über 10 Millionen mal abgespielt, das zugehörige Album Coco schaffte es in die Top 10 der Billboard-Charts. Bei MySpace hatte sie im Oktober 2006 über 6000 Fans, und das amerikanische Rolling-Stone-Magazin kürte sie zu einer der weiblichen Top-Künstler auf MySpace. Schließlich avancierte sie zur erfolgreichsten Künstlerin ohne Plattenvertrag überhaupt, als die Zahl ihrer MySpace-Fans auf über 100.000 anwuchs. Inzwischen wurde ihre Seite schon über 18 Millionen Mal besucht – und ihre Songs wurden bereits über 33 Millionen Mal angehört (Stand: Dezember 2007).
