Alison Pill
 

Alison Elizabeth Pill (* 27. November 1985 in Toronto, Ontario) ist eine kanadische Schauspielerin.

Leben und Leistungen

Pill besuchte die Vaughan Road Academy in Toronto. Für die Rolle im Film Degas and the Dancer (1998) wurde sie im Jahr 2000 für den Young Artist Award nominiert. Ein Jahr später erfolgte eine weitere Nominierung für den Young Artist Award für die Rolle in der Fernsehkomödie Das zweite Ich (2000). Für die Hauptrolle im Abenteuerfilm The Dinosaur Hunter (2000) gewann sie 2000 den Burbank International Children's Film Festival Award. Im Jahr 2002 wurde sie für die Rolle im Filmdrama Stürmische Zeiten (2001), in dem sie neben Elizabeth Perkins auftrat, für den Young Artist Award nominiert.

Im Filmdrama Mord im Schilf (2004) spielte sie ein Amisch-Mädchen, welches des Mordes am eigenen Baby angeklagt wird und von der Anwältin Ellie Harrison (Mariska Hargitay) verteidigt wird. Im Filmdrama Dear Wendy (2005) trat sie neben Jamie Bell und Bill Pullman auf. In der Filmbiografie Milk (2008) verkörperte sie die lesbische Wahlkampfmanagerin von Harvey Milk (Sean Penn).

Pill arbeitet auch am Theater; sie trat unter anderem in The Lieutenant of Inishmore am Lyceum Theater in New York City im Jahr 2006 auf.
