Demetria McKinney
 

Demetria McKinney (born August 27, 1981, in Ft. Walton Beach, Florida) is an American actress, singer, songwriter, model and dancer. She is best known for her role as Janine Payne on Tyler Perry's House of Payne.


Career

She is also a recording artist and recently released her first official single titled "Stay". The song is available to hear on her MySpace page and it also contains snippets of other songs. She is also a member of the Soul Kittens Cabaret. She portrayed Shalon Thompson, in the musical play U Don't Know Me and also starred as Melanie in TBS's Madea's Christmas. In July 2010, McKinney played the role of Coretta Scott King in the world premier of the musical "I Dream".
