Adriana Karembeu (geb. Sklenaříková; * 17. September 1971 in Brezno, Slowakei) ist ein slowakisches Supermodel.

Biographie [Bearbeiten]

Adriana Sklenarikova wurde am 17. September 1971 in Brezno, in der heutigen Slowakei, als Tochter einer slowakischen Mutter und eines tschechischen Vaters geboren. Sie studierte zuerst Medizin in Prag und nahm dort an einem Schönheitswettbewerb teil, den sie gewann. Danach gab sie ihr Studium auf, um Model zu werden und wurde bald von Next modeling agency in New York und Elite Modeling in Mailand unter Vertrag genommen.

Ihren ersten Karriereschub hatte sie durch einen Vertrag mit dem italienischen Bierhersteller Peroni und später wurde sie als Wonderbra-Model noch weiter bekannt. Als Modell arbeitete sie für diverse bekannte Agenturen und Modedesigner u.a. Laura Biagiotti.

Mit einer Beinlänge von 1,28 Meter erhielt sie einen Eintrag im Guinness-Buch der Rekorde als das Supermodel mit den längsten Beinen.

Inzwischen lebt sie in Madrid und ist mit dem Fußballspieler Christian Karembeu verheiratet. Ihre Hochzeit im Dezember 1998 fand in den spanischen Medien starke Beachtung.
