Martina Gedeck
 

Martina Gedeck (* 14. September 1961 in München) ist eine deutsche Schauspielerin.


Martina Gedeck wuchs als älteste von drei Töchtern des Großhandelskaufmanns Karl-Heinz Gedeck und seiner Frau, Helga Gedeck, in Landshut und ab 1971 in Berlin auf. Dort besuchte sie die Schadow-Oberschule in Berlin-Zehlendorf, wo sie 1981 ihr Abitur machte. Danach studierte sie kurzzeitig Germanistik und Geschichte an der Freien Universität Berlin. Von 1982 bis 1986 studierte sie schließlich Schauspiel an der Hochschule der Künste. Sie lebte bis zu dessen Tod mit Ulrich Wildgruber zusammen. Seit 2005 ist sie mit dem Schweizer Regisseur Markus Imboden, mit dem sie zahlreiche Filme drehte, liiert.

2002 erhielt Gedeck bereits zum zweiten Mal den „Deutschen Filmpreis“ – sowohl für darstellerische Leistungen als auch als beste Hauptdarstellerin. 2007 wurde der deutsche Beitrag Das Leben der Anderen, in dem Martina Gedeck die weibliche Hauptrolle spielte, als bester ausländischer Film mit einem Oscar geehrt.
