Danielle Spera
 

Danielle Spera (* 10. August 1957 in Wien) ist eine österreichische Journalistin und Fernsehmoderatorin.

Während des Studiums der Publizistik und Politikwissenschaft an der Universität Wien begann sie 1978 beim Österreichischen Rundfunk ORF zu arbeiten. Sie promovierte 1983, Thema ihrer Dissertation waren die Wahlkämpfe der Sozialdemokratischen Partei in der Zwischenkriegszeit [1]. Nach zwei Jahren in der Auslandsredaktion der Zeit im Bild 2, wechselte sie zur Wochenschau, von wo sie 1983 wieder in die Auslandsredaktion zurückkehrte.

Es folgten Reisen als Reporterin in viele Länder, bevor sie 1987 als Korrespondentin in die USA ging. In ihre Korrespondentenzeit fiel die Watch List-Entscheidung gegen den früheren österreichischen Bundespräsidenten Kurt Waldheim. 1988 kehrte sie in die ORF-Zentrale nach Wien zurück und begann die Hauptnachrichtensendung des ORF, die Zeit im Bild 1, zu moderieren. Ihre Moderationspartner waren Horst Friedrich Mayer, Josef Broukal und Martin Traxl. Danielle Spera moderierte auch das Wochenmagazin „Brennpunkt“ und vertretungsweise die Zeit im Bild 2.

(...) Im Oktober 1999 stellte sie auf der Frankfurter Buchmesse ihre Biographie des Künstlers H. Nitsch mit dem Titel "Hermann Nitsch - Leben und Arbeit" vor. Seit 1990 ist sie Lehrbeauftragte
am Institut für Publizistik und Kommunikationswissenschaft in Wien.
