Sabine Sauer (* 23. Februar 1955 in Freiburg im Breisgau) ist eine deutsche Moderatorin und Journalistin.

Ausbildung
Sabine Sauer brach 1978 ihr Kunststudium in München (Berufsziel: Restauratorin) ab, weil sie Ansagen und Moderationen beim Bayerischen Rundfunk (Hörfunk) zeitlich stark beanspruchten.

Beruf
Derzeit moderiert Sabine Sauer im Bayerischen Rundfunk (Fernsehen) abwechselnd mit Michael Sporer die tägliche Sendung „Wir in Bayern“, alternativ mit Nina Ruge die freitägliche Talkshow „Unter vier Augen“ sowie jährlich gemeinsam mit Gerd Rubenbauer und Christoph Däumling die Benefiz-Gala zu den „Sternstunden“ in der Adventszeit. Im Hörfunk moderiert sie sonntags die „Wunsch-Musik“ auf BR-Klassik.

Ihre Karriere startete sie 1978 im Hörfunk: Nachdem sie fünf Jahre lang beim Bayerischen Rundfunk die Funksendung "Gute Nacht, Freunde" betraut hatte, wechselte sie 1983 auch ins Fernsehen. Von 1994 bis 1995 moderierte Sabine Sauer die NDR-Talkshow. Unabhängig davon präsentierte sie 2006 und 2007 das Open-Air-Konzert Klassik am Odeonsplatz und moderierte Preisverleihungen wie den Bayerischen Filmpreis, den Bayerischen Theaterpreis und den Bayern-Online-Preis. Des Weiteren eröffnete sie 2007 die Richard Strauss-Festspiele in Garmisch-Partenkirchen und präsentiert die Konzertreihe „Klassik um 11“ der Nürnberger Symphoniker.

Bundesweit bekannt wurde sie im März 1984 mit der Moderation des nationalen Vorentscheids des Eurovision Song Contests „Ein Lied für Luxemburg“. Im selben Jahr startete im ZDF auch ihre erste eigene Sendung „Kino-Hitparade“, die bis 1991 lief. 1986 übernahm sie im ZDF zusätzlich die Sendung „Showfenster“, die Nachfolgesendung der „V.I.P.-Schaukel“.

Ihr Vater war der Schauspieler, Synchronsprecher und Synchronregisseur Günther Sauer (1918–1991), ihre Mutter Studienrätin.
