Denise Richards (* 17. Februar 1971 in Downers Grove, Illinois, USA als Denise Lee Richards) ist eine US-amerikanische Schauspielerin.

Leben [Bearbeiten]Die Tochter eines walisischen Vaters und einer kroatischen Mutter zog später nach Kalifornien und schloss dort die El Camino High School in Oceanside ab.

Sie war ab Januar 2002 mit dem Schauspieler Charlie Sheen verheiratet, von dem sie seit Ende 2004 getrennt lebte und seit Dezember 2006 rechtskräftig geschieden ist. Die beiden haben zwei Töchter, Sam (* 9. März 2004) und Lola Rose (* 1. Juni 2005). Seit 2006 war sie mit Richie Sambora, dem Gitarristen von Bon Jovi liiert, von dem sie sich im Mai 2007 trennte.[1]

Ihre bekanntesten Rollen sind das Bond-Girl Dr. Christmas Jones im James-Bond-Film Die Welt ist nicht genug (1999) und Carmen Ibanez in Starship Troopers (1997), sowie in Filmen wie Wild Things (1998) und Schrei wenn du kannst (2001) mit David Boreanaz und Katherine Heigl.

Im Dezember 2004 machte sie ein Fotoshooting für den US-amerikanischen Playboy. Vom Magazin In Touch wurde sie als Sexiest Mom of 2005 bezeichnet


Auszeichnungen [Bearbeiten]Für ihre Rolle in Die Welt ist nicht genug (James Bond) erhielt sie 1999 die Goldene Himbeere als schlechteste Nebendarstellerin und wurde, zusammen mit Pierce Brosnan, als schlechtestes Leinwandpaar nominiert.
