Yanina Wickmayer
Yanina Wickmayer (* 20. Oktober 1989 in Lier, Provinz Antwerpen, Flandern) ist eine belgische Profi-Tennisspielerin
Wickmayer begann ihre Profikarriere 2004 und konnte auf der WTA-Tour bisher drei Titel im Einzel gewinnen, nachdem sie Turniersiege sowohl im Einzel, als auch im Doppel auf der ITF-Tour feiern konnte. Im Finale von Estoril besiegte sie im Mai 2009 die Russin Jekaterina Makarowa in zwei Sätzen mit 7:5, 6:2. Ein Monat später unterlag sie im Finale von ’s-Hertogenbosch der Thailänderin Tamarine Tanasugarn mit 3:6, 5:7. Ihren zweiten Titel holte sich die Belgierin im Oktober, durch einen Sieg im Finale des Turnieres im österreichischem Linz. 2007 und 2008 spielte Wickmayer für das belgische Fed-Cup-Team. Ihre Bilanz steht momentan bei 8-5. Ihren bislang größten Grand-Slam-Erfolg erreichte die Belgierin mit dem Einzug ins Halbfinale der US Open 2009, wo sie sich schließlich mit einem 3:6, 3:6 gegen Caroline Wozniacki geschlagen geben musste. Gegen Wickmayer und ihren belgischen Landsmann Xavier Malisse wurde am 5. November 2009 vom Belgischen Anti-Doping-Tribunal eine einjährige Sperre verhängt. Sie wurde angeklagt, es in drei Fällen versäumt zu haben, der nationalen Anti-Doping-Behörde ihren Aufenthaltsort mitzuteilen. Am 14.
