Catherine Bach
 

Catherine Bach (* 1. März 1954 in Warren/Ohio; eigentlich Catherine Bachman) ist eine US-amerikanische Schauspielerin.

Catherine Bach ist die Tochter eines Deutschen und einer Mexikanerin. Nach ihrem Filmdebüt 1974 in Der Mitternachtsmann spielte sie von 1979 bis 1985 die Daisy Duke in der Serie Ein Duke kommt selten allein, die ihr zu großer Bekanntheit verhalf. Da ihr die für diese Rolle vorgesehene Garderobe nicht gefiel, sorgte sie selbst für Ersatz, wobei vor allem die abgeschnittenen Jeans in der Folge sehr populär wurden – in den USA werden sie umgangssprachlich sogar Daisy-Duke-Jeans genannt. Sie konnte auch mehr als fünf Millionen Exemplare eines Posters verkaufen, auf dem sie als Daisy Duke posiert.

Catherine Bach heiratete 1976 den Produzenten David Shaw und wurde 1981 geschieden. Sie ist seit 1991 in zweiter Ehe mit dem Schauspieler Peter Lopez verheiratet, mit dem sie zwei Töchter hat, Sophie und Laura.
