Leben [Bearbeiten]

Poots Geburtsort ist London. Sie besuchte die Latymer Upper School, eine Schauspielschule in London. Sie ist Mitglied der YoungBlood Theatre Company, einem Unternehmen, das junge Schauspieler, Kampfhunde und Nahkampfspezialisten ausbildet. Außerdem steht sie als Model bei Select Model Management unter Vertrag.

Ihren ersten Filmauftritt hatte Poots als die junge Valerie Page in V wie Vendetta aus dem Jahre 2005. Zuvor war sie in einer Episode der britischen Fernsehserie Casualty zusehen. Ihren bisher größten Erfolg erlangte Poots 2007 durch die Rolle der Tammy im Endzeit-Horror-Thriller 28 Weeks Later. 2007 spielte sie außerdem in Matt Days Kurzfilm Wish mit. 2008 hatte Poots eine Rolle im Film Miss Austen Regrets der BBC. Derzeit arbeitet sie an den amerikanischen Filmen Waking Madison, Solitary Man und Cracks (in dem sie an der Seite von Eva Green spielt).
