Mandy Bork, eine Germany´s Next Topmodel Kandidatin, hat es bis zum zweiten Platz geschafft. Die junge Blondine kommt aus Witten und wurde beim Casting in Düsseldorf entdeckt. Sie hat es ganz knapp in die Top 15 geschafft. Mandy ist 18 Jahre alt und sie geht noch zur Schule. Ihre Eltern besitzen eine Tanzschule, aber Mandy geht lieber reiten. Mandy sagt, sie sei lustig, selbstbewusst, chaotisch und ehrgeizig. Mandy ist absolut zufrieden mit ihrem Körper (80-67-87 bei der Größe 175cm) und hat damit sicher den Zeug zum Modeln.



Bei Germany´s Next Topmodel konnte Mandy Bork zeigen, was sie alles drauf hat. In New York durfte Mandy bereits in der Miss Sixty-Show mitlaufen und da konnte sie alles auf dem Catwalk zeigen, was sie 3 Jahre lang zu Hause im Flur geübt hatte. Obwohl Mandy bisher keine Model-Erfahrung sammeln konnte, konnte sie auch die Jury beeindrucken.

Bei Fotoshootings war es leider ganz anders. Zuerst konnte Mandy die Jury mit ihrem Talent nicht überzeugen. Aber als es zum Shooting auf einem Bett aus Rosen kam, wurden Heidi und Co. sehr begeistert. Sogar bei der Entscheidung an diesem Tag bekam Mandy die Unterstützung von Victoria Beckham, die gesagt hat, dass Mandy wie ein echtes Topmodel aussähe.

Beim Casting für eine Parfüm-Kampagne kann sich der Kunde nicht zwischen der blonden Mandy und der brünetten Jessie entscheiden, deswegen mussten sie schließlich streiten, damit die Kunden sehen konnten, wer am besten für diese Kampagne passte. Und Mandy legt los. Der Lohn dafür ist ein Shooting am Strand. Mandy bekam endlich wieder einen Job und es hatte nicht mit dem Laufsteg zu tun, was immer als ihre Stärke war.

Genauso konnte Mandy auch beim Stil-Ikonen-Shooting die Jury überzeugen. Heidi wurde von ihrer Leichtigkeit begeistert. Danach bei der Entscheidung konnte Mandy Bork zeigen, wie sie ohne Schuhe laufen kann. Sogar Karolina Kurkova, Mandys großes Model-Vorbild, wurde beeindruckt.

Mandy Bork gibt auch ein Tipp, wie man eine Model-Mappe aufbauen soll. Die besten Bilder sollten am Anfang zu sehen sein, weil man vorne die Bilder noch aufmerksam anschaut, und dann blättert man manchmal nie bis zum Schluss. Bei Mandy liegt als erstes Bild in der Mappe das Foto vom Hochzeitsshooting in Las Vegas.
