Erika Jane Christensen (* 19. August 1982 in Seattle, Washington) ist eine US-amerikanische Schauspielerin mit schwedischen, dänischen, norwegischen und irischen Vorfahren.

Leben und Leistungen

Erika Christensen wurde zwar in Seattle geboren, wuchs allerdings in Los Angeles auf wohin sie mit ihrer Familie zog. Im Alter von 12 Jahren entdeckte sie ihre Leidenschaft für das Schauspiel, und konnte kurze Zeit später erstmals vor einer Kamera im landesweit ausgestrahltem Werbespot einer bekannten Fastfoodkette mitwirken. 1997 debütierte sie in der Titelrolle der Karen in Beaver ist los!, gefolgt von Gastauftritten in diversen Fernsehserien.

Der Durchbruch gelang ihr schließlich im Jahr 2000 mit der Rolle einer drogensüchtigen Musterschülerin aus reichem Hause in dem mehrfach Oscar-gekrönten Thriller Traffic – Macht des Kartells. Weitere bekannte Filme sind Swimfan (2002) und Flightplan (2005).

Erika Christensen ist Mitglied von Scientology.
