Judith Rakers
 
Judith Rakers (* 6. Januar 1976 in Paderborn) ist eine deutsche Journalistin und Fernsehmoderatorin.

Ausbildung

Nach ihrem Abitur am Paderborner Pelizaeus-Gymnasium studierte Rakers von 1995 bis 2000 in Münster Kommunikationswissenschaft, bevor sie nach Hamburg wechselte.


Wirken

Von 1996 bis 2000 war sie als Hörfunkmoderatorin tätig. Nebenbei schrieb sie für Printmedien und war Mitautorin der Bücher „Nachrichten-Journalismus“ und „Bildpropaganda im ersten Weltkrieg“. Seit Januar 2004 moderiert sie im NDR-Fernsehen das „Hamburg Journal“. Seit Mitte 2005 ist sie außerdem Sprecherin der Tagesschau, wo sie mittlerweile in allen Formaten außer der Hauptausgabe um 20 Uhr auftritt.

Ihre Doktorarbeit im Fachbereich Journalistik ruht derzeit.


Familie

Rakers wuchs als einziges Kind einer Innenarchitektin und eines Physiotherapeuten auf. Sie ist ledig und kinderlos. Rakers lebt in Hamburg.
