Carla Bruni (* 23. Dezember 1967 in Turin; geborene Carla Gilberta Bruni Tedeschi, nach ihrer Heirat Carla Bruni Sarkozy[2]) ist eine Musikerin und ein ehemaliges Model. Sie war ursprünglich Italienerin, nahm aber 2008 die französische Staatsbürgerschaft an.
Bekannt wurde Bruni zunächst als eines der bestbezahlten Models der 1990er Jahre. Nach Beendigung ihrer Modelkarriere stieg Bruni ins Musikgeschäft ein und veröffentlichte 2002 das französischsprachige Album Quelqu’un m’a dit, das insbesondere in Frankreich und der Schweiz ein großer Erfolg wurde. Charakteristisch ist ihre leise, etwas rauchig und teilweise auch brüchig klingende Stimme.
Sie ist seit dem 2. Februar 2008 mit dem französischen Staatspräsidenten Nicolas Sarkozy verheiratet
