Leelee Sobieski (* 10. Juni 1983 in New York, USA; gebürtig Liliane Rudabet Gloria Elsveta Sobieski) ist eine US-amerikanische Schauspielerin französisch-polnischer Herkunft.

Ihr Vater Jean ist Maler und ihre Mutter Elisabeth Schriftstellerin. Leelee wurde bei einem Casting entdeckt, das in ihrer Schule in New York stattfand. Seitdem trat sie in Werbefilmen und im Fernsehen auf, später folgten erste Filmrollen.

Die in New York City und teilweise in Frankreich aufgewachsene Schauspielerin lebt nun auch in Los Angeles und einer ihrer Wünsche ist, nicht nur vor der Kamera zu stehen, sondern auch ein Drehbuch zu schreiben oder selbst Regie zu führen.

Ihre schauspielerischen Leistungen in der Rolle von Jeanne d'Arc in dem Fernseh-Zweiteiler Jeanne d’Arc – Die Frau des Jahrtausends wurden 1999 mit dem Young Star Award und mit dem Young Hollywood Award als „Superstar of Tomorrow“ ausgezeichnet. Darüber hinaus erhielt sie weitere zahlreiche Nominierungen, darunter im Jahr 1999 für den Emmy Award sowie im Jahr 2000 für den Golden Globe Award. Für die Rolle im Film Here on Earth wurde sie 2000 für den Teen Choice Award nominiert. Im Jahr 2002 wurde sie für ihre Rolle im Fernsehdrama Uprising – Der Aufstand erneut für den Golden Globe nominiert.

Seit 2001 studiert sie an der Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. Die erfolgreiche Schauspielerin besitzt mittlerweile eine eigene Produktionsfirma und will künftig als Filmproduzentin tätig werden.
