Anna Paquin

Anna Helene Paquin (* 24. Juli 1982 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Kanada) ist eine kanadisch-neuseeländische Schauspielerin.

Anna Paquin ist die jüngste von drei Geschwistern. Als sie vier Jahre alt war, siedelte sie mit ihrer Familie von Kanada nach Neuseeland um. Ihr Vater Brian Paquin, ein kanadischer Sportlehrer, und ihre Mutter Marie Brophy, eine Englischlehrerin aus Neuseeland, ließen sich scheiden, während Anna in Kanada Amy und die Wildgänse drehte.

Für ihre Rolle als Flora in Das Piano erhielt sie den Oscar als beste Nebendarstellerin. Neben zahlreichen weiteren Filmauftritten spielte sie auch sehr erfolgreich in den Theaterstücken The Glory of Living (New York, 2001) und This Is Our Youth (London, 2002).
