Biography

Representing her native state of Jalisco, Karla Carrillo competed in the national beauty pageant Nuestra Belleza Mexico 2008, where she obtained first place among thirty-two other contestants, thus making her the first Jaliscan to win the national title since Jacqueline Bracamontes in 2000. She was crowned by outgoing Nuestra Belleza Mexico titleholder Elisa Nájera of Guanajuato. Carrillo is expected to represent her country in the upcoming international Miss Universe 2009 pageant.
