Elizabeth Jean ‚Busy‘ Philipps (* 25. Juni 1979 in Oak Park, Illinois) ist eine US-amerikanische Schauspielerin.

Ihren Spitznamen Busy (viel beschäftigt, übereifrig) bekam sie von ihren Eltern, da sie als kleines Kind immer in Bewegung war. Er blieb ihr bis heute erhalten und steht sogar in ihrem Führerschein.

Philipps besuchte die Chaparral High School in Scottsdale, der Stadt in der sie aufwuchs. Sie nahm Schauspielunterricht am Actors Lab in Arizona und an der Oxford School of Drama in England. Später zog sie nach Los Angeles und studierte Theater an der Loyola Marymount University.

Bekannt wurde sie u.a. durch ihre Rollen in den Fernsehserien Voll daneben, voll im Leben und Dawson's Creek sowie durch die Hauptrolle im Film Home Room. Für ihre Rolle in der Serie Dawson's Creek wurde sie 2002 für den Teen Choice Award nominiert.
