Germany’s Next Topmodel ist der Titel einer deutschen Reality Show auf ProSieben. Siegerin der ersten Staffel war Lena Gercke. Die zweite Staffel gewann Barbara Meier. Die Show wird von Heidi Klum moderiert und basiert auf dem erfolgreichen US-amerikanischen Format America’s Next Top Model, moderiert von Supermodel Tyra Banks. Konzept [Bearbeiten]
Erklärtes Ziel der Sendung ist es, Deutschlands nächstes Supermodel zu finden. Dazu werden aus allen Kandidatinnen zwölf Finalistinnen gewählt, die in speziellen Aufgaben ihr Talent unter Beweis stellen müssen. Am Ende jeder Folge legt eine Jury fest, welche Mädchen bei der nächsten Folge noch teilnehmen dürfen. Die Jurymitglieder sind gleichzeitig die Coaches der Kandidatinnen und stellen ihnen verschiedene Aufgaben.
Bei der Übernahme des Konzepts vom US-amerikanischen Original wurde auch der Name adaptiert. Allerdings wurde Top Model in die deutsche Schreibweise Topmodel geändert.
In der Sendung werden nur die Vornamen der Teilnehmerinnen sowie zur Unterscheidung ggf. der erste Buchstabe des Nachnamens genannt.
