Becki Newton (* 4. Juli 1978 in New Haven, Connecticut; als Rebecca Sara Newton) ist eine US-amerikanische Schauspielerin.

Leben und Leistungen

Die Schauspielerin wuchs gemeinsam mit ihrem Bruder Matt in Guilford auf, einer Stadt im US-Bundesstaat Connecticut. Noch während ihrer Schulzeit sammelte Newton erste Schauspielerfahrungen in lokalen Theateraufführungen sowie Musicals. Später studierte sie unter anderem in Europa und Südamerika, bevor sie ihr Studium der europäischen Geschichte an der University of Pennsylvania absolvierte.

Anschließend zog es die Schauspielerin nach New York City, wo sie in einigen Fernsehwerbespots mitspielte und Gastgeberin einer Interviewshow names Movie Junky wurde. Gastrollen in Fernsehserien folgten, wie beispielsweise in Charmed – Zauberhafte Hexen und Cold Case – Kein Opfer ist je vergessen, ehe sie 2006 eine tragende Nebenrolle in der Serie Ugly Betty erhielt.

Becki Newton ist seit dem 12. Mai 2005 mit dem kanadischen Schauspieler Chris Diamantopoulos verheiratet
