Caroline Munro
 

Caroline Munro (*16. Januar 1950) ist eine britische Schauspielerin.

Ihre Karriere begann mit 16 Jahren, als sie in Großbritannien den Wettbewerb „Gesicht des Jahres“ gewann. Sie arbeitete anschließend als Model in Werbespots und kam schließlich zum Film. Ihr bekanntester Auftritt ist der als Strombergs tödliche Helikopterpilotin und Vertrauter in Der Spion, der mich liebte die letztlich jedoch von Bond getötet wird, indem dieser bei einer Verfolgungsjagd den Helikopter der verführerischen und Luxus liebenden Killerin mit einer Rakete abschießt. Naomi verbrennt in dem explodierenden Wrack. Ursprünglich war Munro als Besetzung für die Sowjetagentin Anja Amasova geplant, wurde jedoch aus unbekannten Gründen durch Barbara Bach ersetzt. Ebenfalls war geplant, die Rolle von Strombergs Assistentin, Helikopter-Pilotin und Auftragsmörderin Naomi noch weiter auszubauen. Sie sollte ursprünglich auch Strombergs Geliebte sein und entweder Stromberg mit Bond betrügen und von Stromberg aus Eifersucht an seinen Hai verfüttert werden oder sich mit Bond nach dem dieser Stromberg getötet hat, einen finalen Zweikampf liefern, bei dem sie entweder verbrennen oder von Strombergs Hai gefressen werden sollte. Weniger bekannt sind ihre Musikaufnahmen und Auftritte in Musikvideos sowie Theaterauftritte. Sie war mit dem britischen Sänger Colin Blunstone liiert, der nach der Trennung das Lied 'Caroline goodbye' (1971) veröffentlichte.
