Anne Gesthuysen...
...ist am 02.10.1969 geboren. Sie ist ein Kind vom unteren Niederrhein und zwar vom platten Lande. Die erste größere Stadt, Dortmund, hat sie während des Journalistik-Studiums erkundet. Damals sorgte der Unterschied zwischen S-Bahn und Straßenbahn noch für große Verwirrung.

Zum WDR kam sie schon mit 17. Damals noch als Hörfunkreporterin im Büro Kleve. 1990/91 folgte ein Volontariat beim WDR und der Umzug nach Köln. Danach war sie freie Autorin für diverse WDR-, VOX- und ZDF-Sendungen.

Von 1997 bis 1999 stand sie als Moderatorin für das WDR-Fernsehen vor der Kamera. Darauf folgte ein Abstecher zu den Privatsendern.

Von 2001 bis 2004 war sie eine der Moderatorinnen der Sendung "Aktuelle Stunde" des WDR-Fernsehens. Seit März 2004 steht sie nun für das ARD-Morgenmagazin im Kölner Studio.
