Kobe Tai (* 15. Januar 1972 in Taipeh, Taiwan; auch Kobé Tai; eigentlich Carla Carter) ist eine US-amerikanische Pornodarstellerin taiwanesischer und japanischer Herkunft.

Biographie

Kobe Tai wurde im Alter von fünf Monaten von einer amerikanischen Familie aus Arkansas adoptiert.

Ihren ersten Auftritt hatte Kobe im Jahre 1996 unter dem Namen Blake Young sowie Brooke Young. Sie hat einen Exklusivvertrag mit Vivid Entertainment, deren erste asiatische Darstellerin sie war. 1997 heiratete sie den Pornodarsteller Steven Scott (Künstlername Mark Davis), doch schon 1999 ließ sich das Paar wieder scheiden.

Als Kobe im Jahr 2000 ihr erstes Kind erwartete, kehrte sie der Pornoindustrie den Rücken zu. Im Dezember 2001 kehrte Kobe Tai kurzzeitig in die Pornobranche zurück. Ihr letzter Film war Jenna Loves Kobe (zu deutsch: Jenna liebt Kobe). Sie drehte diesen Film zusammen mit Jenna Jameson. Im Laufe ihrer Karriere trat sie sowohl in hetero- als auch homosexuellen Rollen vor die Kamera.

Sonstiges

In Anlehnung an ihre Pornofilme spielte Tai in dem Mainstreamfilm Very Bad Things eine Stripperin, die bei einem Junggesellenabend getötet wird. Tai ist außerdem in der Skateboarding-Dokumentation 'The End' zu sehen, bei der auch Tony Hawk mit von der Partie ist.

Kobe Tai sang die Backgroundvocals für Marilyn Mansons Lied "I Don't Like the Drugs, But the Drugs Like Me". Kid Rock engagierte sie zusammen mit Jenna Jameson als Tänzerin bei Konzerten [1].

Die Hip-Hop-Gruppe Non Phixion outete sich in dem Song Rock Stars als Fan von Tai. Dort heißt es: I'm serious, my life is like a drug experience - A porno movie with no plot and I'm the only guy in it - Like Vivid videos with Kobe Tai dime bitches.
