Whigfield
 

Whigfield, eigentlich Sannie Charlotte Carlson (* 11. April 1970 in Skælskør, Dänemark) ist eine dänische Sängerin.

Schon früh bemerkten Hörer die Ähnlichkeit der Stimme Whigfields zu der von Annerley Gordon (als Ann Lee bekannt), die von dem selben Team (Villa Productions) produziert wurde. Ann Lee lieh schon mehreren anderen „Sängerinnen“ ihre Stimme: Groove Twins, Go Go Girls, Annalise, Ally, JoNeben und anderen. Außerdem ist Annerley Gordon als Songschreiberin für viele Whigfield-Songs verantwortlich. Whigfield und Ann Lee äußerten sich bisher nicht zu diesem Thema, allerdings nutzt das Produktionsteam die Gerüchte zur Vermarktung: 2003 wurde eine Vinyl namens „The Battle Mix“ veröffentlicht. Der Song ist ein Megamix bestehend aus Whigfield’s „Saturday Night 2003“ und der Single „No No No“ von Ann Lee.
