Ina Dietz wird 1972 im niedersächsischen Wolfenbüttel geboren. Bereits im Alter von 15 Jahren führt sie ihr erstes Interview, und zwar mit keinem Geringeren als Herbert Grönemeyer. Sie studiert in Berlin Psychologie, Theaterwissenschaften und Publizistik.

Nach diversen Praktika bei Radio und Fernsehen arbeitet sie ab 1995 für insgesamt fünf Jahre als Sprecherin und Redakteurin beim Jugendradiosender FRITZ, und im Anschluss bei radioeins als Radiosprecherin, Redakteurin und Reporterin.

Seit 2004 steht Ina Dietz vor der Fernsehkamera und moderiert die Sat.1 Nachrichten im "Sat.1 Frühstücksfernsehen“.

Ina Dietz ist verheiratet und hat drei Kinder. Mit ihrer Familie verbringt Ina jede freie Minute. Am liebsten erholt sie sich mit ihnen zusammen auf einer Nordseeinsel, bei einer Radtour, beim Spielen, Schwimmen oder Fußball gucken. Außerdem produziert sie gemeinsam mit ihrem Mann Kinderhörspiele.
