Stella McCartney
Stella Nina McCartney (* 13. September 1971) ist eine britische Modedesignerin.
Biographie Familie Sie ist die Tochter von Paul McCartney und Linda Eastman. Sie hat eine ältere Halbschwester Heather Louise (* 1963), eine Schwester Mary Anna (* 1969), einen Bruder James Louis (* 1977) und eine jüngere Halbschwester Beatrice Milly (* 2003). McCartney ist seit 2003 mit Alasdhair Willis verheiratet. Die beiden haben drei Kinder (* 2005, * 2006, * 2008 ). Werdegang McCartney studierte am St. Martins College of Art & Design. Ihre Abschlusskollektion wurde von Kate Moss und Naomi Campbell präsentiert. 1997 wurde McCartney Chefdesignerin des Pariser Modehauses Chloé; eine Position, in der vorher auch Karl Lagerfeld gearbeitet hatte. Im Jahr 2001 verließ McCartney Chloé, um mit ihrem eigenen Label "Stella McCartney" bei der zum französischen Luxusgüterkonzern PPR gehörenden Gucci Group einzusteigen. Seit dem Jahre 2004 entwirft sie eine Kollektion für adidas und für das Pariser Kaufhaus Printemps eine Dessous-Linie (2004). Im Winter 2005/06 konnte man in ausgewählten H&M-Filialen in Europa und Nordamerika die Stella-McCartney-Kollektion erwerben. Eine Besonderheit der Kollektionen von McCartney ist, dass sie – als engagierte Tierschützerin und Vegetarierin – ihre Mode als "vegan" bezeichnet. McCartney verarbeitet nie Leder und Pelz. |
