Marvel's Luke Cage
Marvel’s Luke Cage, auch Luke Cage genannt, ist eine US-amerikanische Fernsehserie, die auf der gleichnamigen Figur von Marvel aufbaut. Sie spielt im Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) und ist die dritte Serie von vier Netflix-Serien, die schließlich zu einer Crossover-Serie namens Marvel’s The Defenders führen. Die Figur Luke Cage wurde bereits in Marvel’s Jessica Jones eingeführt und wurde dort ebenfalls durch Mike Colter gespielt. Alle Episoden der ersten Staffel wurden gleichzeitig am 30. September 2016 von Netflix per Streaming in den USA und weiteren Ländern, u. a. auch im deutschsprachigen Raum veröffentlicht. Im Dezember 2016 gab Netflix die Produktion einer zweiten Staffel bekannt die am 22. Juni 2018 erscheinen soll. Handlung Ein sabotiertes Experiment verleiht Luke Cage übermenschliche Stärke und eine undurchdringbare Haut. Er versucht im heutigen Harlem, New York ein unauffälliges Leben als Friseurgehilfe zu führen. Dann wird allerdings sein Freund und Arbeitgeber Pop von einem Kriminellen erschossen, der den Gangsterboss Cornell „Cottonmouth“ Stokes beeindrucken will. Luke nimmt den Kampf gegen den Gangsterboss und dessen korrupte Cousine, Mariah Dillard, eine einflussreiche Kommunalpolitikerin, auf. Dabei muss er sich seiner Vergangenheit stellen, welche er zu vergessen versuchte.
