Angelina Heger wurde am 4. Februar 1992 in Berlin geboren und wuchs zusammen mit ihrer Schwester Romina bei Ihren Eltern auf. Schon in früher Jugend war Sport eine ihrer großen Leidenschaften. Seit ihrem fünften Lebensjahr bis zum Abitur spielte sie auf hohem Niveau Handball. Eine Sportverletzung setzte ihrer Handballkarriere allerdings leider ein frühes Ende.

2011 machte Angelina ihr Abitur und absolvierte im Anschluss ein freiwilliges soziales Jahr in einem Kindergarten in Berlin. Von da an war klar, dass sie einen Beruf erlernen möchte, bei dem sie Kindern und Benachteiligten helfen kann. Deshalb schrieb sie sich im Februar 2013 für ein Sozialpädagogikstudium an einer Berliner Universität ein, um später beim Kindernotdienst zu arbeiten.

Mit einer Freundin zusammen meldete sich die 22-jährige 2013, anfangs noch just for fun, bei dem RTL Format „Der Bachelor“ [sprich: Bettschälla] an. Angelina schaffte es bis ins Finale und begeisterte nicht nur die Zuschauer. Nach dem Finale wurde sie von der Presse als Gewinnerin der Herzen, mit dem coolsten Abgang seit Bestehen der Sendung, gekürt.
Im Zuge der Dreharbeiten zum Bachelor wurde sie das erste Mal direkt mit der Armut großer Teile der südafrikanischen Bevölkerung konfrontiert. Das bestärke sie weiter in ihrem Entschluss, sich sozial zu engagieren.

Angelina lebt derzeit zusammen mit ihrer französischen Bulldogge Louis in Berlin.
