Saffron Burrows
Saffron Dominique Burrows (* 21. Oktober 1972 in London, England) ist eine britische Schauspielerin.
Die Tochter sozialistischer Politaktivisten wurde im Alter von 15 von einem Talentscout als Model entdeckt und arbeitete erfolgreich in England und Frankreich. Einige Jahre später wandte sie sich jedoch der Schauspielerei zu. Sie debütierte 1993 in dem Film Im Namen des Vaters. Ihre erste Hauptrolle bekam sie 1995 in Circle of Friends. Woody Allen wählte sie für seinen Film Celebrity aus, feuerte sie aber später mit dem zweifelhaften Kompliment, „nicht vulgär genug zu sein“. Danach folgten die Computerspiel-Verfilmung Wing Commander und der Thriller Deep Blue Sea sowie kleinere Rollen in Enigma, Frida und Troja. Seit 2007 gehört Saffron Burrows zur Crew der Fernsehserie Boston Legal. Burrows lebt mit ihrer Lebensgefährtin, der legendären Theaterakteurin Fiona Shaw, in London und spielt dort auch regelmäßig Theater.
