Rosamund Pike
 

Rosamund Pike (* 27. Januar 1979 in London) ist eine englische Schauspielerin, die unter anderem in dem James-Bond-Film Stirb an einem anderen Tag sowie in der Verfilmung von Stolz und Vorurteil (2005) auftrat.

Leben

Rosamund Pike ist das einzige Kind der Opernsänger Julian und Caroline Pike. Sie besuchte ein Internat in Bristol und studierte anschließend englische Literatur an der Universität Oxford. Hier wirkte sie an mehreren studentischen Theateraufführungen mit und wurde dabei von einem Agenten entdeckt. Noch vor ihrem Hochschulabschluss bekam sie mehrere Film- und Fernsehrollen. 2001 beendete sie ihr Studium mit dem Bachelor-Grad und konzentrierte sich fortan auf ihre Schauspielkarriere. Inzwischen ist sie in einer Reihe von international erfolgreichen Kinofilmen aufgetreten. Auch auf der Theaterbühne ist sie weiterhin aktiv.

Rosamund Pike spielt Violoncello und spricht fließend Deutsch und Französisch. Derzeit lebt sie im Londoner West End. Nach Beziehungen mit dem Schauspieler Simon Woods (1997–2003) und dem Künstler Henry John (2004) ist sie seit 2004 mit dem Regisseur Joe Wright liiert, den sie bei den Dreharbeiten zu Stolz und Vorurteil kennenlernte.
