Emily Procter
Emily Procter (* 8. Oktober 1968 in Raleigh, North Carolina, USA) ist eine US-amerikanische Schauspielerin.
Biografie und Karriere Emily ist in Raleigh geboren und auch aufgewachsen. Sie war zwei Jahre alt, als sich ihre Eltern William (Arzt für Allgemeinmedizin) und Barbara haben scheiden lassen. Für sie war das Fernsehen nichts Unbekanntes, bevor sie sich entschieden hat, nach Los Angeles umzuziehen. Noch während sie ihren Abschluss in Journalismus und Tanz an der East Carolina Universität gemacht hat, war sie als Wetteransagerin beim Kanal WNTC in Greenville tätig. Nach dem Umzug nach Los Angeles hat ihr Vater für zwei Jahre die Kosten für die Schauspielschule übernommen. Noch bevor sie ihren Abschluss gemacht hat, hat sie bereits Rollen in Filmen wie Leaving Las Vegas und Jerry Maguire ergattert. 1998 bekam sie ihre erste Hauptrolle in dem amerikanischen Fernsehfilm "Breast Man", in dem auch David Schwimmer und Chris Cooper mitspielten. Weiterhin war sie zwei Jahre in der preisgekrönten US-Serie "The West Wing" als Ainsley Hayes zu sehen - allerdings nicht regelmäßig. CSI: Miami Ihr Durchbruch gelang Emily mit ihrer Rolle als Calleigh Duquesne in der Fernsehserie CSI: Miami, die seit 2002 im amerikanischen Fernsehen läuft. Im deutschen Fernsehen läuft die Serie zuerst erfolgreich beim Fernsehsender VOX und seit April 2005 beim Sender RTL.
