Inna (* 16. Oktober 1986 in Mangalia; richtiger Name Elena Alexandra Apostoleanu) ist eine rumänische Dance-Sängerin.

Karriere
Inna beim Sopot Festival 2009 in PolenInna stammt aus dem Schwarzmeer-Küstenort Neptun. In ihrer Jugend nahm Inna Gesangsunterricht, sie beendete aber erst die Schule und studierte Politikwissenschaft, bevor 2008 ihre musikalische Karriere begann.

Mit ihrem ersten Song Hot hatte sie nicht nur in ihrer Heimat einen Hit, das Lied wurde über die Grenzen hinaus in Südosteuropa ein Clubhit und eroberte Spitzenpositionen in den einschlägigen Charts. Während sie mit Love und Déjà Vu weitere Erfolge in Rumänien hatte, wurde Hot im Frühjahr 2009 auch in Spanien veröffentlicht, wo es ein Nummer-eins-Hit in den offiziellen Charts wurde[3] und Platin-Status erreichte. Im Herbst erreichte der Song dann auch in den Niederlanden und in Belgien die Top 10.

Das Lied wurde auch im Internet ein Hit und das Video erreichte über 18 Millionen Aufrufe bei YouTube, zusammen mit ihren anderen Hits wurde sie dort über 25 Millionen Mal angeklickt, womit sie zu den erfolgreichsten Interpreten aus Osteuropa gehört. Bei den MTV Europe Music Awards 2009 in Berlin wurde sie als beste rumänische Künstlerin ausgezeichnet.

Ende 2009 wurde die Veröffentlichung von Hot in Deutschland, England, Frankreich und den USA vorbereitet. Gleichzeitig hatte Inna mit Amazing ihren nächsten großen Hit in Rumänien, der vier Wochen lang Platz 1 der Romanian Top 100 belegte. Zur Veröffentlichung ihres Albums Hot in ihrer Heimat Rumänien im Frühjahr 2010 erschien mit 10 Minutes eine fünfte Single.

Während im Sommer 2010 Amazing als zweite Single in England und Frankreich erschien und dort in den Charts den Erfolg des Vorgängers Hot übertraf, wurde in Osteuropa mit Sun Is Up bereits ein bisher unveröffentlichter Song als neue Single präsentiert. "Sun Is Up" wurde in Rumänien schnell ein Radio-Erfolg und erreichte in der Debüt-Woche bereits Platz 30 der Romanian Top 100.

WIKI:Elena Alexandra Apostoleanu[a] (born 16 October 1986), known professionally as Inna (stylized in all caps), is a Romanian singer and songwriter. Born in Mangalia and raised in Neptun, she studied political science at Ovidius University before meeting the Romanian trio Play & Win and pursuing a music career. She adopted the stage name "Alessandra" in 2008 and adopted a pop-rock style; later that year, she changed her stage name to "Inna" and began releasing house music. "Hot" (2008), her debut single, was a commercial success worldwide and topped the Romanian and Billboard's Hot Dance Airplay chart, among others. Her debut studio album of the same name followed in August 2009 and was certified Gold and Platinum. It featured several other successful singles in Europe, including "Amazing" (2009), the singer's second number-one single in Romania.
