Rosario Dawson (* 9. Mai 1979 in New York City) ist eine US-amerikanische Schauspielerin. Dawsons Karriere begann 1995, nachdem sie von Larry Clark auf New Yorks Straßen entdeckt wurde. Sie übernahm daraufhin eine Hauptrolle in dessen Film Kids. Durch den großen Erfolg des Filmes konnte sich Rosario Dawson am Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute zur Schauspielerin ausbilden lassen. 2005 wurde sie für ihre schauspielerische Leistung in Rent mit einem Satellite Award in der Sparte Beste Nebendarstellerin (Komödie/Musical) ausgezeichnet. 2006 kamen sechs Filme mit Rosario Dawson ins Kino. Unter anderem spielte sie die Hauptrolle neben Robert Downey Jr. in Dito Montiels A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints. Des Weiteren war sie in Kevin Smiths' Clerks II zu sehen. |
