Jessica Claire Biel (* 3. März 1982 in Ely, Minnesota, USA) ist eine US-amerikanische Schauspielerin, die durch ihre Rolle als Mary Camden in der Fernsehserie Eine himmlische Familie bekannt wurde.

Jessica Biel, die deutsche, französische, irische und indianische Vorfahren hat, wuchs in Boulder, Colorado auf. In jungen Jahren wurde sie musikalisch ausgebildet, um Sängerin zu werden. Sie trat in mehreren Musicals auf. 1994 begann sie in Los Angeles als Fotomodel zu arbeiten.

Bekannt wurde sie aber im Alter von 14 Jahren als Schauspielerin: durch eine Rolle in der Serie Eine himmlische Familie und an der Seite von Peter Fonda im Film Ulee's Gold.

2000 posierte Jessica Biel oben ohne auf dem Titelblatt des Gear Magazine. Sie bekam wegen dieser Fotos, die in Deutschland in der Zeitschrift Maxim erschienen, massive Probleme mit den konservativen Produzenten von Eine himmlische Familie, weshalb ihre Rolle, Mary, für eine Weile aus der Serie herausgeschrieben wurde: Sie wurde wegen familiärer Schwierigkeiten zu ihrem Großvater geschickt, der ihr rebellisches Verhalten in den Griff bekommen sollte. Später kehrte sie jedoch wieder zurück, da die Quoten der Serie unter Biels Abwesenheit litten.

Dennoch schien ihre Karriere nach diesen Fotos beendet zu sein. Erst 2003 begann Biel, sich in Filmen wie Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Blade: Trinity und Stealth – Unter dem Radar als Actionheldin neu zu profilieren.
