Joan Collins
Joan Henrietta Collins OBE (* 23. Mai 1933 in London) ist eine britische Schauspielerin, Model und Autorin.
Joan Collins ist eins von drei Kindern des aus Südafrika stammenden Talentsuchers Joseph William Collins ("Will") und dessen englischer Ehefrau Elsa Bressant Collins. Sie hat zwei Geschwister, Jacqueline Jill Collins ("Jackie") und Joseph William Collins, Jr. ("Bill"). In den 1980er Jahren wurde Collins durch die Hit-Serie Denver-Clan (Dynasty) weltweit bekannt. Mit ihrer Rolle der rachsüchtigen Ex-Frau avancierte sie zum weiblichen Star des Fernsehens der 1980er, denn sie verkörperte das intrigenspinnende Biest überzeugend mit viel Sexappeal. Vor ihrer Rolle als Alexis Morell-Carrington-Colby-Dexter-Rowan im Denver-Clan spielte sie in über 50 Filmen (u. a. Softerotik-Filme The Stud, The Bitch) mit. 1967 hatte sie sogar eine kleine Rolle in einer der beliebtesten Folgen von Star Trek (Griff in die Geschichte). Nach dem Ende von Denver-Clan im Jahr 1989 verdiente sie ihr Geld hauptsächlich durch ihre Romane, Biografien und Schönheitsratgeber. 1996 spielte sie u. a. in einem der drei letzten Specials von Heart to Heart (Hart aber herzlich: Max' Vermächtnis) an der Seite von Robert Wagner und Stefanie Powers. Außerdem hatte sie einige Gastauftritte, unter anderem in Roseanne, Die Nanny und in Die Flintstones in Viva Rock Vegas. Im Februar 2002 heiratete sie zum fünften Mal. Ihr neuster Mann ist der 33 Jahre jüngere Percy Gibson. Im April und Mai 2006 ging Joan Collins mit ihrer Show "An Evening with Joan Collins" in Großbritannien vor ausverkauften Häusern auf Tournee. Am 12. September 2006 feiert sie gemeinsam mit ihrer Dynasty-Kollegin Linda Evans in Toronto mit dem Theaterstück "Legends" Premiere. Das Stück geht danach bis zum Frühjahr 2007 in den USA auf Tournee.
