Carmen Nebel
 

Carmen Nebel (* 24. Juli 1956 in Grimma) ist eine deutsche Fernsehmoderatorin.

Carmen Nebel studierte Pädagogik, Anglistik und Germanistik und arbeitete als Lehrerin. Nachdem sie 1979 bei einem Talentwettbewerb entdeckt wurde, gab sie ihre Anstellung auf und begann als Ansagerin im Deutschen Fernsehfunk, der damals Fernsehen der DDR hieß. 1989 wurde sie für ihre Sendung Sprungbrett zum „Fernsehliebling der DDR“ gewählt.

Nach der Wende wurde Carmen Nebel als Moderatorin von Volksmusik-Sendungen bekannt. Vom 2. Juni 1994 bis zum 25. Dezember 2003 präsentierte sie 46 Folgen der ARD-Samstagabendshow Die Feste der Volksmusik. Ihr Nachfolger wurde Florian Silbereisen. Nach ihrem Wechsel zum ZDF moderiert Nebel seit 31. Januar 2004 fünfmal jährlich die Samstagabendshow Willkommen bei Carmen Nebel.

Auch für RTL und den MDR moderierte sie einige Sendungen.

Carmen Nebel ist Botschafterin der UNICEF und des Roten Kreuz. Sie hat einen Sohn, der Mitte der 1980er-Jahre geboren wurde.

2004 erschien ein Band gesammelter Kolumnen aus der Zeitschrift Frau im Spiegel unter dem Titel Ich wünsche Ihnen eine schöne Woche. Anfang Juli 2007 wurde der Vertrag mit dem ZDF bis ins Jahr 2010 verlängert.

Am 2. November 2008 führt sie in Ludwigshafen erstmals durch die ZDF-Spendengala „Hand in Hand", in der Prominente für die Arbeit der Deutschen Krebshilfe sammeln. Sie folgt damit Dieter Thomas Heck, der seit 1994 mit „Melodien für Millionen" 50 Millionen Euro sammelte.
