Carla Gugino (* 29. August 1971 in Sarasota, Florida, USA) ist eine italo/irisch-amerikanische Schauspielerin. Als sie fünf Jahre alt war, übersiedelte sie mit ihrer Mutter nach Paradise, Florida. Während ihrer Kindheit musste sie viele Male in diesem Bundesstaat umziehen, war aber trotzdem während ihrer gesamten Highschool-Zeit eine gute Schülerin und durfte sogar die Abschlussrede halten. Eine große Modelagentur entdeckte sie in San Diego und schickte sie mit kaum 15 Jahren nach New York City. In diesen jungen Jahren verkraftete sie allerdings den Stress in N.Y. nicht und kehrte im Sommer nach Los Angeles zurück, modelte dort und besuchte auf den Rat ihrer Tante Carol Merrill, die von "Let's make a deal" (1963) als Schauspielerin bekannt ist, eine Schauspielklasse.

Anmerkungen:

* 1975 hatte sie mit nur vier Jahren eine Nierenoperation.
* 1994 spielte sie eine Hauptrolle in Bon Jovi's Musikvideo "Always".
* Sie modelte für die Agentur Elite als Teenager; wurde mit ihrer Größe von nur 1,65 m aber als für zu klein für den Laufsteg befunden.
* Sie besitzt ein Schmetterlings-Tattoo an der Innenseite ihres linken Knöchels.
